Employment

We deal with many cases in employment law from giving one-off advice to providing full representation and advocacy at Employment Tribunals, and Employment Appeal Tribunals.

We cover all aspects of employment law - unfair dismissal, discrimination, redundancy, maternity/parental rights, health and safety, changes in working hours and conditions, unpaid wages, bullying and any other employment related matter. Our solicitors' have particular expertise and experience in discrimination law relating to race, gender or disability.

We can provide you with advice and information whether you are an employee, agency worker, casual or contract worker. Unfortunatley we do not provide advice or legal assistance to employers. To access the service come to one of our drop-in advice sessions

Some of the questions we deal with include:

  • Am I entitled to a contract of employment?
  • What is the minimum I can expect to be paid?
  • What should I do if I have been unfairly dismissed from my job?
  • Can I claim compensation if I have been unfairly dismissed?
  • What should I do if I have been discriminated against at work?
  • What should I do if I am being bullied or harassed at work?
  • What should I do if my employer decides to reduce my wages?
  • How can I complain about health and safety at work?
  • What rights do I have at work when I am having a baby?
  • Can I have time off from work if I become a father?
  • Can I get time off to care for someone?
  • Am I entitled to paid holiday leave?
  • Am I entitled to be off work during Bank holidays?
